Dutch Design Awards 2016

Every year, Dutch Design Awards (DDA) honours the best Dutch designers and their most impressive and groundbreaking projects.

In 2016, the jury of the Dutch Design Awards named the Boring Collection as one of the finalists in the category ‘Products’

According to the jury Boring Collection provides an alternative for ever-present office furniture. The collection is created with a very minimalistic style. The name already indicates that the furniture is designed with both sense of wit as well as courage . The provided presentation, hints back at the 80’s (Memphis-style). All in all the collection really provides a statement, although it doesn’t seem like the products want any attention at all.

Space Encounters Office for Architecture won the ARC17 Interior Award.

Lensvelt supplied the office furnishings for this, including the grey – understated but far from boring – Boring Collection.

The jury led by architect Michiel Hofman selected the projects from a record number of one hundred entries and chose this project as the convincing winner with an innovative and idiosyncratic office concept.
