Welcome to Boring Co-Lab

A place to explore the most unstimulating, yet inspiring collaborations.

The Boring Collection emulates a discreet elegance that allows it to be present in any space without distracting from the things that actually matter. In the past, this monochrome theory has proven its impact as a furniture line; In 2016, it was awarded the Milano Design Award for Best Concept. In the years since then, the Boring Collection has found its way into many offices and homes around the world. But we think this concept of letting other things be the focal point is applicable to many other areas than just furniture. We want to make an even greater impact.

These are strange times we are living through, where everyone is constantly focused on attracting the most attention. It has become part of our culture to stand out in any way possible, even if it means making a fool of ourselves on the internet. There are so many people to compete against in our interconnected and growing world, that it seems the only way one can be heard is by being the loudest and most shocking voice.

Perhaps now is the right moment to take a step back and reflect. How is this affecting us? Our perceptions of the world and others? Are we becoming too self absorbed…?

The Boring Collection aims to point out this absurd self-obsession people are developing globally. It aims to humble us, and guide our focus to the most important things in life: making valuable connections, appreciating our natural surroundings, understanding the importance of genuine rather than superficial beauty. Often, the most powerful messages are often those that say nothing at all.

Because being Boring should be a lifestyle. We want to provide a space where this Boring concept of shifting our focus from surface level attributes, to deeper, more meaningful worldviews come to life. Let’s expand to fashion, supplies, transportation, photography, technology… the list is infinite. Co-Lab away.
